Hey all! I really wanted to share with you 6 items I love to wear that tie more into my personal style vs fashion. These are items I gravitate to either every day or wear a few times a week to the point they need to be washed due to B.O (we all stink) or cheetoh dust (sorry not sorry).

I’ve been dealing a lot with personal style vs fashion and losing myself a bit in between the two and getting lost in the trends and keeping up with fashion and I know we all do. With winter being so heavy in Canada its hard to wear certain trends when there are 12 feet of snow and you have a college student budget.  I feel like these 6 picks are more of a personal love VS what’s trendy and new and sometimes that’s where people find their own personal style inspiration.

I do love watching trends and forecasting and it’s exciting to see your predictions come to life or not, and trends can also be a way to get your personal style out of a rut and try something new and it starts to become something you incorporate into your personal style.

Let’s get into the clothes!

Hey Followers,

I had the opportunity to address the first year students in my program about dressing for success. I attached the presentation I had created and thought I would share it all with you that sums up 4 key styles of business dressing and how to keep your personal style in with the rules of business etiquette.

let me know your thoughts in the comments and share away!

I read a post back in 2013 that it was better to wear all of your new outfits the second week of school instead of the first. Everyone will be so concerned about themselves and where they’re going that first week that they won’t even be bothered to know what you’re doing.  (Also a great life hack for the rest of your life).

So today I am bringing you some inspiration for fall. September is the month of new beginnings and is usually the start of School, new towns, and new Jobs.

I wanted to get away from fashion for this post and just focus on personal style and styles that I’ve been loving recently by showing you what I’m most excited to wear as we get into cooler weather.

3 outfits are based on back to school, whether that be high school, college/University while the others are more work appropriate but please interpret each outfit with your own creativity.

I hope this inspiration encourages you to look outside of your own box and try something new and feel confident to wear something you didn’t think you had the courage to. A style is not measured by size, but how you feel.
