Creating my blog from a ”pile of stuff”

I didn’t know what to expect when I started my blog. I had a goal in mind that I wanted to create a blog that discussed things that intrigued me; which is fashion, body positivity and creativity.
Entering the “blogosphere” has made me open up and vulnerable about my opinions because anyone can challenge them, to that I say bring it on!
This Blog post is for an assignment for my intro to writing for marketing that wants us to reflect on how we feel about coming into the blogging world. I am fairly new to blogging; I started this blog in January of 2017 after a Co-worker of mine suggested that I needed to express my creativity and talents into a blog (mainly so she can read it and get inspired).
In class there was a discussion of what makes a blog effective, especially for someone who’s starting out its good to know ways to effectively make your blog a successful one. An effective blog usually has a personal feel to it, since it’s your blog why not have yourself reflected in it.
Having your blog seem personal causes your reader to connect. A blog that shows a good example of that is Tanya Burr‘s blog; she reflects on her fashionable loves and showing her true character throughout her blog.
Say your Blog is about how to write a successful blog post (shocking, I know), create a title that catches their eye. For example, me trying to relate this post to fashion; my title will be a quote from Devil Wears Prada because Meryl Streep is Queen. An interesting
intro paragraph and ending with something that makes your reader think will always engage them, try looking at the great (and hilarious) filled blog that keeps people reading is Manrepeller, her team talks about all things fashion while kicking ass.
Short, sweet and to the point. Another successful way to have an effective blog is to keep your thoughts quick, strong and relevant for your reader. If you can enlighten and
engage your reader in 500 words or fewer, your reader is more likely to keep reading and not be overwhelmed by text. Try looking at the blog Simply Audree Kate she keeps her blog brief while her images speak for her.
What do you think a successful blog needs to be effective? Let me know in 500 words or fewer.
